Scenario is a hidden-figures puzzle and mystery game that turns liminal childhood dreams into surreal puzzles. Inspired by early 3D graphics and liminal spaces, players explore ten uncanny environments filled with hidden objects, strange artifacts, and unsettling discoveries. Each chapter challenges players to sharpen their perception, navigate shifting dream-logic, and piece together a narrative wrapped in the eerie framework of a sleep study.

Scenario is a hidden-figures puzzle and mystery game that mimics the uncanny environments we dream about at night. Inspired by early 3D graphics and liminal spaces, each of the Dreamscape's ten chapters draw you into strange landscapes packed with hidden objects, uncanny puzzles, and unexpected discoveries. To advance, you’ll need sharp eyes and intuition to locate elusive artifacts while navigating the unpredictable Dreamscape environment that refuses to play by the rules of reality. CREATIVE PROCESS
Development of Scenario began in October 2023. It was originally inspired by the digital artworks of the 90s blended with a wacky postmodern aesthetic. The goal was to utilize this style to place the participant in an eerily nostalgic environment, almost as if something is slightly 'off'. The game aims to progressively introduce this eerie vibe throughout each level, initially tricking the player into believing the game is fully innocent. As the graphics become weirder and the music derails, they quickly realize what they're in for.
The player also has the opportunity to voluntarily follow the story. By examining the fine details and scanning walls for pictures and sticky notes, a hidden storyline can be uncovered. The storyline can only be uncovered by playing the game, so I will end that discussion here.
